Hey y’all! This is a very exciting post for me because it’s my first makeup tutorial, and it was the first time I did someone else’s makeup! YAY!! The beautiful young lady in the picture below is my best friend and Big, Mallory. I was fortunate enough to do her makeup for the Phi Lamb Semiformal last Friday. I had an absolute blast and wanted to share! I really hope you all enjoy! Since Mallory and I do not have the same skin type or color, I decided to use a mixture of her products and mine. I used her foundation, bronzer, and Naked palette. The rest are from my collection.
After applying moisturizer and some of her Mary Kay Eye Primer, I did her eyeshadow first to prevent any fallout from ruining the rest of her face.
I started out using the Naked 2 palette with the shade Bootycall on her lid and in the crease, then I blended Tease in the outer corner to middle of her lid and crease, and Suspect on the outer corner. I wanted to pull in a little bit of purple to make her eyes pop, so I blended in Estée Lauder Provocative Plum into the outer corner and crease. After applying the amount of purple I wanted, I went back to the Naked 2 palette and used Verve in the inner corner and under the brows to finish the shadow.
I then used Amy Head Creme Liner in Pearl in a pretty dramatic wing. I finished her eyes with two coats of Maybelline Turbo Volum’ Express mascara in very black!
Since her eyebrows are basically perfect and don’t need to be filled in, I went over them with Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel to keep them in place. After doing her eyes, I applied her Mary Kay luminous-wear liquid foundation. I put a dab of product on her forehead, nose, under her eyes, cheeks, and chin and blended it out over the rest of her face to create a flawless finish.
Then, I put Amy Head Highlite Powder under her eyes to set her under eye area.
After that, I used Mary Kay mineral powder foundation as a bronzer/contour, making a 3 on both sides of her face. Then I applied a light amount of NARS blush to the apples of the cheeks, blending upward to the top of her cheeks.
Then, I used my favorite highlight, Becca + Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop, on the apples of the cheeks, middle of her forehead, down the nose, her Cupid’s bow, and chin!
After that, I took an Amy Head powder brush and lightly swept it over her face, avoiding her eyes, to create a smoother finish.
