Christmas | 2015

Good morning my loves!!! I meant to share a holiday look with y’all, but I just ran out of time. I photographed my eye look from last night so I will try to get it to y’all later in the day.

As for now, I just wanted to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!! It is so easy to get caught up in the gift giving of Christmas, but please don’t forget the Reason for the season! God came to us in the form of man to save us from our sins. He is the reason we celebrate today (and every day). After all, you can’t spell Christmas without CHRIST.

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” -Luke‬ ‭2:11‬

So… If you’re fortunate enough to have a loved one to spend today with… Even if it’s your puppy… Hug them close and remember why we’re celebrating! Don’t worry about the size of the present under the tree, or if there even is one. That’s not what really matters.

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright. Round yon virgin Mother and Child, holy Infant so tender and mild. Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Here are some pictures from our Veazey Christmas morning…Keeping the tradition alive with my little Rebel loving nephew! Oh and of course Star Wars..Santa came to see the puppies in our house! They are in Doggie Heaven! Ft. Some of my new baking stuff. Giving the pups their Christmas treats from Santa!!Scoutie got some just for her, too! ❤️Santa came to see me, too! That makeup organizer though!!! 😍😍

Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing!

Have a blessed Christmas. Happy birthday, Jesus!

Mini Target Haul | 2015

Hey y’all! The other day, I was out Christmas shopping with two of my sorority sisters, and when we went to Target, I got lost in the makeup aisle (as always). I only ended up with four items, but here they are and my first impressions of them! Hope you all enjoy. I ended up getting two elf products. Elf is probably my favorite drugstore brand. It usually works really well for me and I just love it!The first thing I went for was the elf High Definition Powder. I had heard great things and wanted to see for myself if it is as good as people say. After using this product, I noticed it did help with the longevity of my makeup, BUT it does have a bad flashback in photos. I will most likely not be repurchasing this because I don’t exactly love the white cast under my eyes. The next thing I got is this elf Baked Eyeshadow Palette. I was really excited about this and I’m honestly pretty disappointed in it. I don’t know if I just got a bad one or what.. But this will probably be going back. Really sad, but it just wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. I’m going to give it one more chance and try some of the top row but I don’t have very high hopes for it. The next thing I got is this Sonia Kashuk No. 8 blending brush. I am really liking this brush so far! My friend, Katie, actually talked me into buying one and I’m so glad she did. I think I’m really going to enjoy using this brush! The last thing I got is the yes to cucumbers hypoallergenic facial towelettes. I have a hard time with face wipes and cleansers because they either make my face burn or break me out…. This doesn’t burn my face, but my face has broken out sooo bad since I started using it. My face is really sensitive, so I guess no more of these for me..

Well, that’s it for my small Target haul for 2015! Hope you all enjoyed this post. Have you used these products before? Did they work for you?

Christmas List 2015!

These are some of our Byers Choice carolers. Aren’t they fun?!

So guys….. I have had like NO time to sit down and really commit to a post with finals, job applications, and the just craziness of the holidays. I am so sorry and promise to get on a regular schedule after the season.

Even though this is super late, I still wanted to share a few things on my Christmas list for 2015! I haven’t written out a list in I don’t know how long. I usually just let Santa bring me whatever he thinks I would like. (Yes, I am 20 years old and still believe in Santa Clause.) However, this year I do have things that I would really love to open up on Christmas morning…

These are more practical items, as I’m not one to actually use the super bright palettes like the Kat Von D-Mi Vida Loca palette. Sorry, but people around here would think I had lost my mind if I actually used the shades in that palette. It’s beautiful, but not for small town, Mississippi. So, here is my wish list for 2015! It’s kind of lengthy, so bear with me.First on my list is a makeup organizer! I’m really loving this mirrored one from! It’s super glam and would look so pretty on my bathroom vanity.

Next on my list is this Large Brush Roll by MAC! I’m using a cloth one now and I’m so over it getting dirty. I love that this has a zippered pouch and two open pouches. It would be so great with all of the traveling I do between school and home.

I have one brush on my list and it is the MAC 135 Large Powder Brush. I don’t actually own any MAC brushes, but I have heard this is a really bomb brush. So, I definitely want to add this to my collection!

Now, I have the Makeup Geek Starter Kit and Z-Palette bundle. I’ve been DYING to try out the Makeup Geek shadows and this seems like the perfect palette for that. It has 9 shadows, consisting of: Cocoa Bear, Mocha, Glamorous, Creme Brûlée, Shimma Shimma, Drama Queen, Prom Night, Unexpected, and Corrupt! These shadows are just so beautiful and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they end up in my stocking!

Next is the GlamGlow Glamtastic Facial Set! I recently used a sample of the blue one from Sephora and I’m obsessed with the way my skin looked and felt after using it just once! I really want to try the other ones to see which one best suits me. It’s kind of pricey which is why I haven’t gone out and bought it already, so why not let Santa pay for it instead, right?

Next, I have the Philosophy Purity Cleanse, Refine, and Renew Kit! I have actually never used any of the Philosophy products, but have heard great things and am itching to get my hands on them.. Especially the cleanser. I have yet to find a cleanser that doesn’t burn my face like crazy.. I’ve been told this one is great for sensitive skin, so I’m hoping it works!

Now, I have the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. I absolutely love this bronzer!!! I received a sample of this in my birthday gift from Sephora and just recently got around to using it. It is so pretty and doesn’t turn orange on my skin like some of them do. I just really need this in my life and will be getting my hands on it one way or another!

This is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I’ve never really used a setting powder and am noticing some breakup in my foundation, so I’m definitely going to need this in my life ASAP.

Okay, this definitely isn’t the last makeup product I want to get my hands on, but I’m making it the last one for this post. Because my makeup wishlist goes on forever. This is the Becca Mineral Blush in Flowerchild. I first discovered this product on the Becca Instagram and I just think it is so beautiful. My eyes light up every time I see this and I just HAVE to get it!

Alright, this is not actually on my list, I just had to share. I’m completely obsessed with this new David Yurman bracelet! I just think it’s so neat and different from his other pieces. I also really like the all black matte one. It isn’t very practical, but I definitely wouldn’t mind if someone just really wanted to get this for me… (Wink, wink)

I also want a few of the Makeup Geek pigment shadows, Kat Von D liquid lipsticks and some other lip products. If you want to know which ones I have my eyes on, let me know and I’ll do another post about them!

Have you tried any of these products? Are they on your Wish List? Drop me a comment down below, I’d love to hear what’s on your list!

November Favorites | 2015

Hey everyone! It is finally December!! I absolutely love this time of year. Makes me wish I was in the mountains with a warm chocolate chip cookie, hot chocolate, and a pair of skis… ugh, I miss it.

These products are some that I just really fell in love with and used a LOT in November. I had planned to post this sooner, but with a sick puppy and all of the chaos from Thanksgiving, I haven’t had much time. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash- Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. I have been using this since Halloween and it is seriously one of the best drugstore face washes I have ever used. It kind of dries me out (since I’m more normal/combination, it doesn’t bother me that much) but I use my Mario Badescu moisturizer to balance it out.
  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. So, I have never been a huge fan of filling in my brows. I always felt like they looked too fake every time I tried, so I haven’t done it since high school. Until I got this pencil. This thing has completely changed the way I feel about filling in my brows. I am SO in love with the Anastasia brow products!
  3. Becca + Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop. My gosh I love this highlight so much! It is so gorgeous on the apples of the cheeks, Cupid’s bow, tip of the nose, inner corner highlight, everywhere! Just beautiful.
  4. Maybelline Turbo Volum’ Express Mascara. I haven’t used a drugstore mascara in a little over a year, but my Big introduced this to me in October, and I’ve used it almost every day since. I have trouble with my lashes drooping with some drugstore mascaras and they don’t with this one! (Finally!!)
  5. Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Moisturizer. I used Estée Lauder for so long that I got tired of it and stopped buying. I started back with their toner and received this as a sample. It’s big enough that I’ve been using it everyday for over a month and I’m not even close to using it all. Some moisturizers tend to make me really oily and gross, but this is really light and I just love it.
  6. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. This is definitely my holy grail concealer. It covers my dark circles and doesn’t feel thick under my eyes (hence the term weightless.) My favorite concealer as of now, hands down!
  7. Amy Head Powder Blush- Fresh & Lovely. I have just recently gotten back into using this blush. I got it two years ago but I got really pale right after buying and it started turning me orange. It’s somehow made it back into my day time routine when I’m just out running errands or shopping.
  8. Hydrogen Peroxide. This is going to sound completely ridiculous, but hear me out. You know the days when you wake up with those blemishes that hurt like crazy and the only thing you can do is just wait it out? All you have to do is put a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide on a cotton ball and put it on the blemish. One to two days later, it will be gone. Thank you Pinterest for informing me of this method!

Well, that is it for my November favorites! Feel free to leave me a comment below if you’ve used any of these products. I’d love to hear your favorites, too!
