Hey guys! My skin has been super dry lately and everything I have tried has only been making it worse. The other night, I decided to try out the GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment to see if it would make any difference. Keep reading for my first impression of this mask!
I have combination/oily/sensitive skin, so I’m really not used to being dried out (unless I’m changing up my skincare). I received a sample of ThirstyMud in either a Sephora or GlamGlow purchase a few weeks back and decided what the heck? Nothing else was working and I NEEDED something to fix this problem and fast. That flaky, cakey skin look is just not cute…
You can leave this mask on for as long as you want. But, I had heard that you get the best results when worn overnight, so that’s what I decided to do! Around 11:35 p.m. last Monday, I decided I would give it a shot and put an even layer all over my face and left it on until about 4:30 a.m. when I decided I could not sleep with it on because my face was just sticking to everything and it’s mother… I knew this would happen, especially because I sleep on my stomach/sides, for the most part. So, I tried to force myself to sleep on my back… Unfortunately, that so did not work. When I looked at the clock and saw I had to be up in 2 hours to get ready for class, I decided to go ahead and remove it where I would hopefully fall asleep… That was just my problem, it’s not uncomfortable by any means… I’m just a really heavy sleeper.
I took the mask off with warm water and a washcloth and put on Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil Light all over my face to hopefully add to the hydration I’d been craving… I was really pleasantly surprised when I woke up, washed my face, and put on foundation, that my face was no longer dry and flakey! My face felt very hydrated and refreshed after using it for just five short hours! I could not be happier with the results and will definitely be buying this mask ASAP. It seriously just changed my life!
What is your favorite face mask? I’m always wanting to try new ones, so let me know in the comments below!
