More Morphe | 2017

A few months ago, I made a small Morphe purchase. These products have changed my life forever. Whereas, before this last buy, I was on the fence about the brand. I wasn’t convinced they were as good as everyone said. Funny how one purchase can change how you feel about an entire brand…

The sole reason I bought anything from Morphe, was to test out their Flawless Beauty Sponge. Let me tell you, this thing lives up to all the hype. I went from hating the Tarte Shapetape Concealer (using the Real Techniques Sponge) to it being my holy grail when using this sponge. It’s just too good! I actually cannot imagine using any other brand’s sponges, now.

IMG_0528Since this was so good, I will definitely be trying out their Highlight & Contour Sponge next!

The second thing I wanted to purchase was the M433 Pro Firm Blending Fluff. This is, by far, my absolute favorite blending brush ever!! Makes my life so much easier. I don’t go anywhere without this brush. I feel the need to buy like 47 more….

M433, Y10, and M432.

Now I have the Morphe Y10 Mini Detail Contour brush. I first heard about this thing from Jaclyn Hill. I started off using it as a foundation brush, but have since only been using it for contouring. It’s definitely a great, little brush that I am glad to have added to my collection!

Lastly, I have the Morphe M432 Flat Liner Definer. This is a great brush to get product as close to your lower lash line as possible. So easy to use, my (not so) new go-to.

That’s all I have for this short little haul! Have you purchased these brushes?? What are your thoughts on Morphe? Let me know in the comments below!

Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlight| 2017

Disclaimer: I was one of the lucky people to receive the Marc Jacob Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlight complementary of Influenster and Marc Jacobs Beauty for reviewing purposes. My opinion is 100% my own and is not swayed in any way, simply because it was free.

When I first started using this product, I really enjoyed it. It was a great product, and I began using it pretty consistently, especially on nights out. It is a beautiful peachy-golden shade that would, in my opinion, be great on just about any skin tone, and it was definitely the perfect blinding highlighter!

After about a week of usage, I started noticing the product would break up my foundation to the point where, when I put it on, the foundation would completely come off of the areas I applied it.

I tried to give it several other chances with different application techniques (and different foundations), but ultimately decided this product just wasn’t for me, and stopped using it altogether.

I really do not want to discard such a high-end product, but it has really not worked for me since the first few times. Even after applying swatches on the back of my hand for these pictures, I noticed it starting to ball up and get super thick and patchy, no matter how little product I used.

I may end up trying it again as shoulder or collarbone highlight, or maybe even on my summer no-makeup days, because I really do hate to waste it. Ugh, it’s just so pretty, I hate that it doesn’t work with foundation!

Please let me know in the comments below if you have tried the Coconut Gel Highlighter out, and if it worked for you or not!
