Hey guys! Since my last post was decluttering bad products from last year (or before), I figured it only fair to do my best of 2018, as well! These are some of my FAVORITE products that are being brought into the new year.
If I wanted to wear foundation to class last semester, this is always what I wore. I got it early in the summer (sent to me from Influenster- I’m not receiving anything for reviewing this) and actually really liked it! It gave me smoother looking skin without much effort. I really recommend the Bare Minerals powder foundations (matte, original, and this one) if you’re wanting a flawless base without having to take the time to blend liquid out!
This is my favorite concealer right now! I was never fully on board with Tarte shape tape because it always looked cakey on me. However, this one dries down perfectly for me and doesn’t crease at all. One of my loves for sure!
I’ve probably talked about this 1,000+ times, but I go through this stuff like CRAZY. I just bought another one a few days ago because I’m about out and I literally cannot wear makeup without it. It sits so beautifully on the skin and doesn’t dry me out like other powders have in the past.
I used this for every makeup look to set my powder before I continued with the rest of my face and then finishing with Urban Decay All Nighter. Might sound kind of weird, but it makes my makeup stay on 10times longer by doing this! I don’t love the mister on the bottle because I feel like I have to get almost too close to my face to feel the product. Still, I use it anyway.
I use this blush pretty much every time I do a full face. It was definitely my go-to last year, and will probably continue to be that way. This is just such a good shade for my skin tone and it stays really well. I’m not one to really venture out with blush, and I want to get better at that, but in the meantime, you know where I’ll be.
I was turned onto this last year and I don’t see it going away any time soon. I’m a little weird when it comes to mascara because my lashes always droop. But, this combo has honestly changed my life.
7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance and Soft Glam Palettes.
I use one of these two palettes in pretty much every one of my looks. They are my go-to’s for just about everything! Some of the shades are the same but I love the shimmers in both of these palettes. I definitely reached for these the most in 2018!
8. LipSense- Blu-Red and clear gloss
I’m not a huge fan of this brand, but I love their red lipstick! Sadly, I lost mine so I can’t post a picture of it at the moment. But anytime I wore red lipstick in 2018, this was it! It’s so easy because it doesn’t budge and lasts forever! It was particularly great for football games when I didn’t want to mess with it all day. It can be a bit drying, which is its downfall but it’s still something I love and will be repurchasing very soon!
9. Becca Prosecco Pop Highlight
Back when they came out, everyone (including me) was obsessed with Champagne Pop and kind of overlooked Prosecco. In 2018, I forgot about Champagne Pop and almost exclusively wore Prosecco Pop. It honestly wore better on the skin and was better for my skin tone than it had been in the past (probably due to me slowly getting paler- sigh).
My new favorite sponge that I have yet to talk about on this blog is the Morphe Highlight and Contour Sponge! I originally used their Flawless Beauty Sponge (and still sometimes grab it when I’m at the store) but instantly fell in love with this one when it came out. They are honestly both so great and I love that price tag!!
11. Dior Forever Foundation.
*Moment of silence for the discontinuation of the best foundation that has ever been in my life.* Excuse me while I go into mourning…
See you guys on Monday!
